Founded in Las Vegas in 1977, Plantworks quickly gained acclaim for pioneering what we now recognize as biophilic design.

Local hotels, casinos, and restaurants were some of the company’s first commercial customers as these properties sought a way to soften the look of their often stark, brightly lit, and auditorium-sized interior spaces while also trying to keep labor and maintenance costs to a minimum. Their solution was to create lush, soothing, and breathtakingly beautiful green spaces within these environs using artificial plants and trees. Not only did this accomplish the goal of enhancing the aesthetics of these spaces, but they also demonstrated the financial benefits of using their products as other than occasional damp cloth dusting, these masterpieces of design and functionality were completely maintenance-free.

Today, nearly half a century later, and with tens of thousands of successful global projects lying as our foundation, they continue to take immense pride in our long and rewarding collaboration with owners, architects, designers, and construction professionals, with whom we plan, manufacture and/or install remarkably beautiful works of horticultural artistry.
